Home screen section collapsed state persistence

What happened?
The home screen section collapsed state is not persistent. When the app launches from a cold start after being evicted (or crashing), all sections expand by default.

What did you expect to happen?
It would be ideal if expanded state was persistent.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Collapse a section
  2. Force quit the app
  3. Reopen

Agreed! Sadly there’s no API to do this in iOS 16, however it has been added as part of List in iOS 17. So…something to look forward to :stuck_out_tongue:
